Code of Conduct

1. This is a 21+ only event. Please bring a valid form of identification to the event, as they will be checked at the door before entry.
2. Coat & Bag Check: A bag check will be offered upon entry. To save on space inside the ballroom, please check larger bags and coats.
3. Respect for the Venue: Treat the venue with utmost respect. Avoid touching or mishandling artifacts, or any equipment.
4. Appropriate Attire: Wear suitable fantasy-themed attire and masks. Ensure costumes are respectful of cultural sensitivities.
5. No Loose Glitter: Please refrain from wearing glitter. This includes attire and makeup.
6. Behavior: Maintain courteous and polite behavior at all times. Inappropriate and non-consensual behavior towards guests and authors is NOT tolerated. If guests are found acting inappropriately towards others, they will be asked to leave the venue and will be banned from all future Capital Books, Knotty Novels and Moonlit Masquerade events.
7. Photography: Seek permission before taking photographs or videos. Respect others’ privacy and avoid capturing staff without their consent.
8. NO WEAPONS: This includes metal, plastic and prop weapons. Props will be provided at designated photo stations during the event.
9. Dance Floor Etiquette: Be mindful of others while dancing. Avoid overly vigorous movements or props that may cause harm or damage.
10. Food and Drink: Follow designated areas and rules for consuming food and beverages. Dispose of trash responsibly.
11. Emergency Procedures: Familiarize yourself with emergency exits and procedures. In case of an emergency, follow instructions from event staff or venue personnel.
12. Social Media: Exercise discretion when sharing event details on social media. Respect the privacy of fellow attendees and the venue’s policies on digital content.
13. Enjoyment: Have fun and immerse yourself in the fantasy atmosphere!
